Of related interest to the recent news item on the South African Constitutional Court's decision on prisoners' right to vote is an article in today's Globe and Mail about the prison on Robben Island, where from 1962 until 1991 more than 3,000 political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela, were incarcerated by the apartheid regime.
